ISEE. WHAT IT IS, WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Update:16 Jan

TheIsee, or the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator, is a document that certifies theeconomic status of a family unit. Thanks to it you can access various economicsupport measures. economico.

For example, thesingle allowance, theCitizenship income, the nursery bonus and more. All measures that we will delve into in the next newsletters.

How to request it

To obtain the ISEE it is necessary to present theSingle self-declaration (DSU) in cui vanno

enter all the personal, income and asset information of the family unit. This declaration must be requested from atax assistance center(CAF), which will send it toINPS . At this point the time to obtain the ISEE will be approximately 10 working days.

What does this equivalent economic situation that the ISEE certifies consist of?

The equivalent economic situation is not other than the income of the family unit to which 20% of the assets, both movable and real estate, are added, all divided by a coefficient linked to the composition of the same family unit.

In this way we obtain what is defined asordinary Isee and which refers to the economic situation two years ago. Therefore in 2023 the ISEE will cover the situation relating to 2021.

The different types of ISEE

In addition to the ordinary one, there are also other types of ISEE, calculated based on the type of benefit that you want to obtain.

And so we have:

• theUniversity ISEE

• the Social-health ISEE

• theIsee minors with unmarried and non-cohabiting parents

There is also the so-called Current ISEE, which photographs the economic situation in a specific period and which allows you to update the ISEE value if, for example, the work situation has changed.

Quello che non cambia, tra le varie tipologie di Isee, è che per calcolarlo si fa sempre riferimento al nucleo familiare e quindi alla personal composition of the family.

However, it is not always easy to understand who is or is not part of the family unit. There are some special cases to keep in mind.

For example, spouses and minor children, even if not cohabiting, are part of the same household. Likewise, adult children < 26 years of age, not cohabiting, without a spouse and without children who are dependent and included in the family status belong to the same family unit.|| |96

main exceptions, but there are many others, such as family members registered in theItalian registry resident abroad (AIRE). Or like the situation of two separated, or divorced, people who have the same

residence. Even in these cases, for ISEE purposes, they are subjects belonging to the same family unit.

Anyone who is particularly interested in the aspects relating to the identification of the family unit can report it to us in order to find out more in depth a future newsletter.
