Description of the service

The ISEE is the Declaration single replacement for access to subsidized benefits, and serves to estimate and describe the economic situation of families.

It is the INPS that provides this document, and it is obtained through the Single Self-Declaration (DSU), which contains all the data needed to calculate the ISEE.

With the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 18 May 2002, the standard models of the Single self-declaration and certification, as well as the related instructions for completing them (Official Gazette General Series n.155, dated 6 July 2002).

As a consequence of this, the citizen will be able to access "social or welfare benefits or services or public utility services" such as:

• check for the family unit with three minor children

• maternity allowance

• nurseries and other educational services for children

• school benefits (books, grants of study, etc...)

• concessions for university fees

• benefits for the right to university study

• home, daytime, residential social and healthcare services, etc. ..

• concessions for public utility services (e.g. subsidized tariffs for Telecom, Enel, etc.).
